We Land changed the direction of everyday work – Deloitte, Euroclear and Helen share what the new office brought with it

We Land in Helsinki is an innovative work environment that emphasizes community and collaboration, strengthening social networks in the workplace. It is a dynamic workspace where sustainability and people’s wellbeing are at the core. Deloitte, Helen and Euroclear now explain how moving to We Land has influenced their daily work.
We Land breaks the traditional perception of an office by being a new kind of open‑house destination. The concept is an open and versatile office building that is alive from morning till evening – offering spaces, events and restaurant services for both tenants and city residents.
Now we hear what kinds of challenges Deloitte, Helen and Euroclear set out to solve by changing their office premises. What attracted them to We Land’s concept? And how has the move affected their everyday operations on a practical level?
Deloitte praises the concept, services and sustainability
Head of Real Estate Teija Gallacher led Deloitte into its spectacular new premises in We Land in summer 2024.
“The uniqueness of We Land lies in the whole concept – its versatility, its services, and how sustainability is visible in this building. The central location is also particularly important for us,” Gallacher says.
At Deloitte, collaboration between teams and exchanging knowledge and skills among colleagues are central elements of the work culture. The goal of the workplace project was therefore to find high‑quality and collaboration‑enhancing spaces that support expert work and thereby Deloitte’s growth strategy.
“We want to offer our people modern, high‑quality and functional workplaces. The diversity and flexibility of the different workstations and zones have been especially important themes. When the facilities are tailored to support expert work, we can support our specialists in a completely different way and better promote their wellbeing, comfort, efficiency and overall motivation,” Gallacher explains.

“I warmly recommend NCC as a partner. Our cooperation has been seamless throughout the entire process. Especially how our ideas and perspectives were taken into account, and how the spaces were designed according to our needs.”
Helen: “Community is the key”
Helen, which had occupied the Sähkötalo building for six decades, faced a challenge:
“Sähkötalo served us Helen employees exceptionally well for sixty years, but as a protected building its spaces were not easily adaptable. The premises no longer supported modern ways of working or our hybrid work model in an ideal way,” says Janna Anttila, Director of Employee Experience at Helen.
In September 2025, Helen moved from Sähkötalo to new premises in We Land, right next to the Salmisaari power plant. The new facilities were built with strong environmental responsibility and are the first in Finland to meet the highest BREEAM Outstanding environmental certification level. With a strong emphasis on sustainability, the building has been designed to minimize its climate impact.
We Land highlights flexibility, technological readiness and human‑centric design. The goal of the new premises is to support Helen’s modern work culture and diverse ways of working.
“It was extremely important for us to be able to design the space from the beginning according to our needs and wishes. Community is our thing. When we come to the office, we come to meet each other and work together. Because of this, the sense of community is stronger than before,” Anttila explains.
The spaces support wellbeing through ergonomic solutions, peaceful break areas and versatile opportunities for shared activities. Different project areas, meeting spaces and modern conference rooms provide excellent settings for teamwork, while dedicated quiet zones ensure concentration for individual work.
“I was personally surprised by how much We Land itself aims to build community. Community‑building is not left only to us at Helen – the whole office community benefits from shared ideas and initiatives,” Anttila says with delight.

Euroclear: “The outcome is exactly what we wanted”
In the old premises, the challenge was that staff were spread across three different floors. Euroclear moved to its beautiful new premises in We Land in February 2025 with the aim of increasing community feeling.
“Feedback from staff has been very positive. We have many more encounters, we see each other more and there are far more ad hoc discussions. This has greatly increased job satisfaction. We have one centralized Working Café where everyone gets coffee, and it has become a hotspot for spontaneous conversations and meetings. We now know our colleagues much better,” says Marianne Mikkola, Head of Procurement & Corporate Services at Euroclear.
What about We Land’s concept appealed to Euroclear?
“We were attracted by the adaptable spaces and all the services this building offers. For example, we have the Charlie lobby service, a café, lunch restaurants, and a large event space available for rent. Upstairs there is also a large meeting room where you can order catering, and it offers a stunning sea view. This location is absolutely perfect for us,” Mikkola lists.

At NCC, the customer is always at the center
We Land’s premises were not created from a ready‑made mold – they were built together with the customers, based on their needs and wishes. Three different organizations, three different perspectives on what a good work environment looks like. What they all share is close cooperation and customer‑centric design.
“We always work closely with our customers to develop spaces that match their future needs. Our customers have many different wishes and challenges. Together we’ve found the right solutions for them,” says Uku Jaatinen, Sales Director at NCC Property Development.
“Cooperation with NCC has gone very well, and all our ideas and needs have been taken into account extremely well. Their flexibility with our change requests and the way the project managers guided us firmly forward – especially in the early stages – helped keep us on schedule without getting stuck. These are things I truly value,” says Helen’s Anttila.
“Working with NCC was very smooth. We had many requests and changes, and they were implemented surprisingly quickly. The final result is exactly what we wanted,” sums up Euroclear’s Mikkola.
